Building a brand through user experiences – Idean interviewed in M&M

Markkinointi & Mainonta (M&M), a Finnish newspaper on marketing and advertising, published an article about Idean on October 3rd.

Jussi Lystimäki and Tomi Mickelsson discuss the relationship of brand and user experience, and the evolution of mobile platforms, such as iPhone, Google Android, Symbian and mobile web. “Even though brand and user experience are closely connected, organizations’ branding and product development entities do not communicate enough”, says Jussi Lystimäki, VP Sales & Marketing.

Lead products raise the bar for user experience and user expectations, and manufacturers have to take this into account in their product strategies. “The era of engineer-oriented technical interfaces is over, and innovative user-oriented UIs will finally land on the mobile”, estimates Senior Technology Specialist Tomi Mickelsson.
