Idean Took Part in Strategy Work for the Finnish Media Industry

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

FinnMedia (Viestinnän Keskusliitto VKL, the federation of the Finnish media industry in Finland) unveiled the strategy report for the Finnish media industry in 2.6.2009. Idean played a key role in facilitating the process, analyzing the results, and writing the report, as we discussed in an earlier news.

The strategy was created in cooperation with media industry experts and influencers, other professionals related to the area, as well as lead users of media. This was a very convenient approach for Idean, which is used to create brilliant things not alone, but with users and communities.

As the central result the strategy work produced three essential ways of being, or winning attitudes, for the media industry. They are:

Deeper understanding of the customers
Forerunner in product and service development
Dynamic and agile business partner

The industry as a whole should represent all these attitudes, and a single company should adopt at least one of them. Based on these attitudes, some strategic objectives were outlined, as well as several concrete actions to go about meeting them.

More information about the strategy can be found in VKL’s website (in Finnish).
