Jussi Lystimäki joins Idean
Thursday, August 9, 2007
Jussi Lystimäki Appointed New Sales and Marketing VP of Idean. Pioneer in digital services joins Idean to encourage international growth.
Two hundred countries; 1200 languages; three billion users. The opportunities offered by mobile services seem endless, but attaining success requires strong concepting, desirable products and good usability. These are exactly the concepts Idean offers its clients.
Jussi Lystimäki, Idean’s new VP in Sales and Marketing, explains:”The leading companies in Internet and media services, Google and ESPN for instance, pay significant attention to the development of mobile services and applications. This enables gaining ground in new, emerging markets. Idean is assisting these leading brands in accomplishing their goals.”
Idean, with a staff of almost 60, is among the most internationally-oriented growing companies in Finland: international business has been Idean’s bread and butter for several years, with projects in China, India, the US, and all over Europe. Idean continues to maintain and develop close contacts with key customers in their home ground: both opening the Santa Clara office in Silicone Valley and investments in the Shanghai office are signs of strong commitment to customers. “In many of the projects, our involvement in the research and development and product design stages of the client’s process is integral. This is why we want to be close to where the process actually takes place. When studying the usability of new service concepts in target markets, based on the consumers’ actions and decisions, it is ever more important to understand the business operations and priorities of the client”, Lystimäki says.
Lystimäki has a successful history in the development, sales and implementation of international projects with Internet and Telecom services for more than ten years. A founding member of Satama Group (formerly Satama Interactive), Lystimäki’s previous positions include Country Manager of Tera Group, an ICT investment company listed in London, and CEO of Prisma Consulting, which provides IT project management services for major international corporations. Lystimäki is actively involved in developing growing businesses, and acts as a Member of the Board of Boardman Ltd specializing in the development of good corporate governance and board work in Finland.
“Jussi is an ICT expert with all-around experience and extensive international networks; with his expertise in international sales and marketing, he will be a true asset to Idean. I look forward to working with Jussi on Idean’s Board of Directors and realizing our ambitious growth plan together”, Jan-Erik Nyrövaara, Idean’s CEO concludes.
