Making history with Jokakoti.fi: a perfect real estate service designed together with users and brokers

MTV3, the leading Finnish media company, utilizes its unique insights on consumer media behavior for launching Jokakoti.fi, a new business domain for the media company. The soul of the service comes from user-centric design by Idean, the internationally acclaimed design company.

Idean participated in the concept creation and service design of Jokakoti.fi by researching insights on consumer behavior in the real estate domain and designing the service together with consumers and real estate professionals.

“You need a truly special service to successfully break into a highly competitive business domain, such as the real estate business. Jokakoti.fi is a unique combination of the visual and interactive media – television and the web are a match made in heaven”, states Juha Juosila , Director of the web business domain at MTV3.

The Jokakoti.fi web service is supplemented by a special television feature, aired every Sunday at 10.30 AM on MTV3.

“Jokakoti.fi is not just a web service, it’s a phenomenon. MTV3 did not enter the real estate business as such, but we combined our extensive media coverage together with our insight into consumer media behavior. With these, MTV3 has the position to offer our customers the best and most effective service in the market”, Juosila continues.

In addition to real estate information, Jokakoti.fi provides rich local content, such as maps of various services within a certain area of the city. The content also includes local demographics and financial statistics on the development of real estate markets in the area. Users can base their search queries on this information to find the area to match their preferences.

The service utilizes the latest web technologies, but retains a simple and easy to use interface.
