Mobile theme design - CASE: Nokia Mobile Web Server

This project focused on designing a new UI theme for mobile web sites hosted in mobile phones. The real challenge with mobile theme design is to be able to design a (x)HTML-based site that will work in all existing devices, to keep hosting the service in small scale and to bring the user experience to the next level with a fresh design. In order to succeed, a unique combination of world-class design and the best developers to are needed. Luckily, we had both.

First, our designers formulated the vision to a form of a graphical presentation which was then implemented to work in S60 smart phones. As you can see (from the links blow), there was no need for major compromises.

About the objective:
Nokia is developing Mobile Web Server, which includes the Apache web server running on the S60 smartphone platform. The technology enables a connectivity solution that provides a mobile phone with a global URL with HTTP access to it. The mobile phone becomes an active part of the web - being able to host web sites on the go.
