Not born yesterday.

We were founded nearly two decades ago as a user research company, championing the importance of human-centered design from the very beginning. Long before user experience design was widely understood or adopted, we were working with clients to combine practical design with a deep understanding of users to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

While the digital landscape has changed significantly since Idean was founded in 1999, we’ve remained at the forefront of global design companies in delivering state-of-the-art solutions that set the bar for industry-wide innovation.

We have a Finnish background, so we tend to get straight to the point. The same goes for how we work. We measure success by the impact we make for our customers, plain and simple. Our approach to design is lean and focuses on research, experimentation, user feedback/testing, and iterating together with clients.

    We understand that user research and testing is pragmatic, so we observe people in the context we’re designing for. We analyze their behavior to develop a full picture of their needs, abilities, and characteristics.

  • Iterate with prototypes.

    We develop design solutions early on, often using lean prototyping methods—from low-fidelity to functional prototypes built with the target technology.
